What each code can credit and when it expires
Promo codes do not all work in the same way. The code itself sets the credit value, expiry date and global redemption cap. Each account can redeem a particular code once.

A global cap applies across all accounts, while the one-use rule applies to your account. A code may therefore stop accepting redemptions after its overall cap is reached, even if you have not used it before. The expiry date also matters, so enter a valid code as soon as you intend to use it.

Do not plan to redeem the same code more than once on your account. The account-level limit is one redemption for each individual code.

How promo codes differ from referral codes and other rewards
The registration form has both a promo-code field and a separate referral-code field. Use the promo-code field for a code that adds Bits to your balance. Use the referral field for a referral code instead.
